Finally got to the Dyno!

SO i got all my parts on this weekend and got my '13 tuned. Went with the JLT CAI, BOSS 302 intake manifold, BBK cat deletes, Flowmaster 3inch catback, and royal purple oil, trans, and coolant. Ended up putting 441hp and 380tq with a 93 octane tune. Only took her to 6800rpm, she still had more in her and it was 85 degrees today.

Re: Finally got to the Dyno!

Very high numbers for only going up to 6800, congrats. Why didn't they rev it higher?

With the 3.55 gears, the load on the engine from pulling almost 155mph coupled with the heat of the day, she wanted to break up a little up top. My tuner is going over all the data. We are going to put in 3.73s and get a little cooler day. Change the tune slighty to smooth out the top end. He antisipates another 20-30whp given the new gear, higher rpm, new tune, and a cooler day.

Re: Finally got to the Dyno!

If you only goinbg to rev to 6800 you wasted money on the Bos intake.

Higher gears will lower dyno numbers. Its all in the tune. And if breaking up isn't cause of heat its cause of the tune isn't right. I had my full bolt on manaul on the dyno at 95* weather doing pulls to 7800 no issues.
