1 inch... They told me that the same company makes SVE and FRPP springs and that there was no reason for me to spend the extra $100

How many pulls? One shop here charges 40 for two pulls with a/f. Another shop wants 75 for one pull and a/f. And another shop wants 100 for 3 pulls with a/f.

With all the criticism the manifold has received, I highly advise you do a before and after dyno, you could be shooting yourself in the foot and not even know it.

Re: FINALLY!!!

Based on your other comments about not wanting to lose torque....well, the Boss mani is going to do that for ya. It's designed to pump up the top at the expense of the bottom, I'm afraid. I expect you're tuning for it (hope so) but, you can't get around that "damn physics".

Everyone is getting very fussy on here tonight, is it a full moon? Well either way I was told that with proper mods, though you may not gain you will not lose

Re: FINALLY!!!

Well, there's the dyno and then there's the real world of driving. A box plenum mani will feel really soft off the bottom in regular driving around, compared to a long runner type like stock. You can hide some of this if you change the airflow characteristics of the engine but, you foundationally haven't. Sure, on the dyno it will make the same power or better higher up but the lowered velocity in crack-throttle operation can't be duplicated reasonably on the dyno and this is what you feel everyday.

I'm not pissy at all man, it's just not my first rodeo and I'm just giving some polite cautions around your stated expectations and the result you're likely to discover if you proceed. You are still entitled to do whatever you want.

Re: FINALLY!!!

No problem, man, there are some real big mouths here.

You do have 3.73s so that leverage is going to offset the sensation I refer to above. If you get a really well thought out tune, you can reduce this issue as well. The Boss mani looks to be a rocket over 7200 rpm or so, marching really hard away from the stocker.

Get an x pipe with you boss intake and tuner.

I got the intake, tuner, x pipe and all supporting parts to make it work with the stock airbox for cheaper than intake, cai and tuner combo. Better bang for your buck.
