Shift Knobs

What shift knobs do prefer. In the old days, and I do mean the d days I preferred the Hurst style shift knob. What are the preferred types today ?

Re: Shift Knobs

That's still what I prefer. Make's a huge diff on this car if you have 300a or 400a. I used the inexpensive AM one, no complaints. Not too big and really solid feeling.

I really like the boss 302 Shift knob. It was $80 in the end because you have to get a new boot but I really like the feel and look

I have a grabber pony knob and love it! Awesome quality and lots of options for colors and engraving and customization. Mine is black with white shift pattern and the 5.0 engraved into the sides, with a black and a chrome adaptor underneath(I switch back and forth depending on how I feel)

I make shift knobs from scratch. I love a regulation full size pool ball. I have made golf balls into knobs too but they are way too small. Wood spheres look great when stained and treated, but they are not heavy enough. I made one out of a cool glass rock which was great but the best was a spherical polished rock (quartz). Hard as hell to cut but really beautiful in the end.
Imo, a simple billiard ball shift knob is great. I have a guinness branded cream cue ball and its not going anywhere.
