I would not try to use the same tunes on any 2 cars. Like previously mentioned, tunes are specific to each car and could mess something up if you try to reuse a tune on a diff car.

Ecu software versions play a role in this as well. It is not good practice to use the same tune on two separate vehicles of two different years based on the fact you have no idea how Ford modified their electronic sensors and diagnostics for throwing CEL codes. The other thing is that in the last two years their are at least five different software versions running around on mustang computers. I have one of the early addition 2011s had to have my crank sensor reset in which they also updated my software. After that I had to contact John Lund to build me a new tune for that software version.

Re: Tune from SCT question?

I think that we need a bit more information before answering your questions ...

Which CAI are you running and does it require a tune?
If not, are you running a custom tune or the canned tune on the SCT?

You will need to send jlt the new strategy code from your ecu and have them update the tune. Should be the same process you went through when you ordered it.

I've never ordered tunes from jlt so I can't help you on the specifics of this.
