To get recaros or not?

Hello guys I'm new here and have been out of the mustang scene for quite a while now. For the most part I have kept up with all the changes for a while and I'm finally going to bite the bullet and get a 2013 GT in GHIG with Track Package and possibly the Recaro's. So with that out the way here is my question. Does anyone know from personal experience If the Recaro's except people on the larger side of life or not? I really like them but I'm slimmer than some of my friends that I hang out with on a regular basis and is it comfy on longer trips for the wife? Sorry for the long read but thank for your input.

I think most people over a 38" waist would be a tight fit. As far as the wife, depends if she sits like a normal person or if she does something crazy like sitting sideways propping her feet out the window. I find the recaros very comfortable, but I'm not a huge guy myself (34" waist). They are very supportive, but you can't move around much.

Recaro's are not worth it, IMO i wanted the heated seats and electronic adjustability.

Depends what you're looking for. IMO, those are two of the most worthless features you could get on a Mustang and I would much rather have the lateral support of the Recaros. They're worth twice what Ford charges as an option on new car.

I have leather. It was a must when I got rid my base model manual 2011 for an auto 2012. But I didn't get heated seats. No reason to in TX. If they would had recaro seats for the 12's I would have got them.

Well fellas its kinda pointless now seeing as how I picked up my 2010 premium GT in GB yesterday. I could not turn down the price of it vs a new one

One of the best colors out there now post up some pics.

---------- Post added at 06:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:48 PM ----------

I see all the 13's out there but I think the 10-12 models have a more aggressive look and there was a difference with the Shelby's and the CS were as all the 13 models look alike just my thoughts.

Just curious as to why you traded your 2011 for your 2012?

I had a manual. Had issues with tranny. Ford replaced it once. When started going out again just traded it in on an automatic. Best choice I have done.

I was looking for a 13 but found this 10 instead I like the looks way better and got plenty of power for now and nothing a S/C can't fix later.

Re: To get recaros or not?

I think if you actually tried the 5.0 you'd be questioning the "plenty of power" fro the 4.6.

The 5.0 is deceptively fast. It doesn't always seem to be doing much but on instruments, it's ripping like hell. a quarter at minimum 110 mph is a costly distant dream for a 4.6 car, it's yawn city easy for a 5.0.

Sc a 4.6 is like doing tune, off road x, cold air on a 5.0. Had some buddies find that out when I had my manual 5.0. Unless you go in and do internals to really turn the boost up in the 4.6. Stock with SC they are only good to about 450whp.

Re: To get recaros or not?

Don't worry about what others are saying that you should of got a 5.0, enjoy what you have also if your NOT drag racing it and it's just for fun who cares what they say. I just bought a 12 2 weeks ago and I'm already getting some saying I should of bought a 13

I don't really care for the 13's looks. Think the 12 looks better.

Not a fan of the recaros. Not quite comfortable for a daily driver. Just my 2cents
