2010 GT

Hey guys what's up? My search for a black 2010 GT continues. I found the perfect one last week, but it sold the day after I drove it. I guess I should have just bought it on spot rather than trying to Jew them down. Drove another yesterday in Knoxville, it looked awful. It had over 30 rock dings in it. Also, by far the worst part, they had tried to buff scratches or something out of it and left swirl marks on the entire hood and down the whole left side. And the funny part is, they wouldn't come under $25,700. Have I just misinterpreted the value of these cars? Personally, for a premium, 10' gt, I thought $24,000 out the door was a very fair price. What do you guys think? What would you all pay for it? I'm not allowed to have a 5.0 so upgrading isn't an option haha. Thanks guys!!

Just keep searching and be patient, but don't sit on one like you did that first one. I'm dying to ask you why you can't 5.0, but I'll leave it alone and just say (with hand fingers split in middle) "piece and pr/....I mean good luck".

Because im 18, and my mom got to reading on the Internet and figured out what '420 hp' actually means. Dont get me wrong, a 5.0 would be incredible. But I'd be perfectly happy with the 4.6. I have plenty of time for that in the future.

Good answer and I understand completly. 4.6 is not bad at all, and you would get to use all those new pieces with the new Mustang body on that 2010. I like the new rear lights, but can't use them on my 2007.

Just keep looking. I was looking for a 2010 with the 4.6 for the simple fact I couldn't afford the note on 5.0 or the insurance. Anyway, after looking for several weeks I found one with 30k miles and I talked them down to $22k out the door.

I have a black 2010 GT but your mom wouldn't let you get mine cause it has way more then 365hp to the wheels lol I hope you find one I love mine and I wouldn't mind getting the new 5.0 but just so much spent on this car it would be hard to let her go.

Hey bro, I was able to get a 2010 premium GT 2 weeks ago with 10,509 miles, racing strips, upgraded wheels, rear view camera, security package and 3.73 gears for 25k out the door. I had been trying to get a 2011 GT for that exact price with no luck, but am in love with my car. I don't go to the track or anything and it's hard to drive it everyday and stay within the speed limit... This car seems to want to go 60 miles per hour at all times lol. Good luck bro.

I bet with a budget of 25,500 you could get a 2011 5.0 premium pretty easily. Imo, I would take a 2011+ v6 over the older 4.6 gt. I love the 4.6 but the newer 6 is nearly as fast, cheaper, way more efficient, and cheaper to insure. A dealer here sold a used one (6000km) loaded for 19900. Hell of a steal imo...

U could try but prices are still high on the 2010 and 2011 GTs. It's a personal choice as to the 2012 v6 or 2010GT. I love the V8 and as nice as the engine is in the 2012 V6, IMHO it doesn't compare to the V8 in sound, torque, upgrades and just the overall muscle car feel. Yes MPG will be great with the V6 but it wont complete the whole mustang experience. I had a V6 mustang before and loved it, but longed for a V8 the whole time I had it. Now do I long for the 5.0? Sometimes, but not really. I don't race and I can only step on my 2010 GT for a couple of seconds before I'm already over the speed limit which is why I love it! In the city I live in cops are everywhere all the time so having 400+ HP won't benefit me much right now.

Re: 2010 GT

Hey,

I waited a long time for mine. I was looking for that great deal you can't pass up! I finally ended up with a 2010 GT Premium for 19.5K with 23K on it! It was from a small town dealership about 5 hours away , but overall it was well worth it! Also mention to your friends what you are looking for and they will keep their eyes out. Check web sites weekly. I actually found my because I had subscribed to a website that emails you every week with Stangs that had come up for sale recently within a certain mileage of where you live that way you can have the jump on any body else. That's how I got mine.

Hope it helps,

Ksquared
