2013 (another TPMS) flat tire question / thought / boo on the goo!

I am wondering if any 2013 owners have had flats and used the inflator/green slime kit. I ask this as I imagine the goo would foul up the TPMS sensor, and doing so, the TPMS sensor is/is not covered by Ford? OR, is the included slime "safe" for TPMS? I remain skeptical. I am fixing to order a 2013 GT with Brembo and am wondering if I should factor in a rim/spare tire as well. Seems like a no-win solution to me!

Not sure about the 13 but I used my pump on a friends car. It SUUUUUXXXX. If i had the room I would definitely get the spare. Probably the worst thing I've found with my Brembo package.

Don't use it, you'll be on the hook to get a new TPMS sensor and get all the gook cleaned off before mounting a new tire.

The 13's come standard with a spare tire. The pump is a option. At least that is what I have seen on the order form

If you have the pump stay away from the goo. If you use it you have to replace tire and TPM. If just a nail you can get a patch for $15. But if in the middle of nowhere you do what you gotta.

Re: 2013 (another TPMS) flat tire question / thought / boo on the goo!

thanks all for your responses. The 2013 GT Premium w/Brembo I drove did not have a spare - did have the pump - appeared to have the standard well for a spare. I think I will procure a spare tire/rim and ditch the pump. Pump and goo would be useless with a blowout anyway...

Spare doesn't fit over brembo brakes. They give you the pump with fix a flat instead.

True. I have a friend that found a stock wheel/tire someone was selling and put in the trunk just laying partial in wheel well for extended trips. Local he figured he could get it if needed. It's what I do. I got aftermarket wheels but kept original in basement in case I need one.

Did you jack the tire up off the ground first? I used the pump to air up my f150's tire and it worked great!

I've aired up my wife's tire when on ground and did just fine.

Thanks everyone for the input. My Boss came with the pump, no other option available. AAA here I come.
