2010-2012 Hoods

So... I finally have enough saved up to buy and paint a saleen power flow hood but I wanted to ask everyone else before I did it. I have been looking at the VIS Stalker hood and the Cervini's Stalker hood as well and like these as well mainly for the price. I realize the Saleen is, ...well a Saleen hood but the other two both have good selling points as well....

VIS:

I have heard rumors of this hood not fitting perfect like the Saleen hood but it does keep water out a little better. The air flows into the engine compartment. It is priced around $700 unpainted.

Saleen:

This hood has had great reviews on fitment but not so great reviews on the topic of debris getting under the hood since it doesn't have any sort of water deflector. This hood as well just has the air going straight into the engine compartment. Priced around $1300 unpainted

Cervini's:

This hood doesn't quite have the same lines (a little more boxy) but it does have the ram air kit that goes directly to the OEM air box (or CAI in most of our cases).

I am really torn between all three of the hoods. Please let me know what you think and if you have any other suggestions send post them! Thanks!

Sorry for the massive pictures, I tried to resize them but obviously it didn't work...

The Saleen looks beast but man 1300$ is a lot for a hood. Of the other two I think the Cervani looks a tad better to me. I just don't understand charging $1300 for a hood.

I like the VIS. Looks similar to the saleen for almost half the price

+1... And if the fitment is crap, won't the seller normally replace it?

I definitely like the price of the VIS but all I have heard about it is how poorly it fits compared to the other two. Even though it's a $700 hood it still needs to fit like my hood now...

But most low budget hoods do need a little tweaking to get a good fit. I got my hood from RKsport for $600 with a functional ram air scoop. It cost me about $200 to have it re gelcoated and painted. Fitment is ok, not as good as factory but the hood is functional and I guess you get what you pay for.

If I could afford the Saleen hood, I'd get it.

The saleen Hood is nice. But myself I couldn't pay 1300 for it. I would say check out trufiber hoods also. I've heard great things about them. Cervini hoods always fit great. As they have been around the mustang community for a long time.

I have seen the black mamba hoods but I like them with the front end conversion kit better than just with the GT front end alone. Would you post a picture of you ram air hood from RK sport? It looks a lot like the stalker from cervinis on the website.
