Stickiest Tire for Brembo Wheel

Hey, I've been searching around for a race tire that would fit the brembo wheel but haven't had any luck. I found a Mickey Thompson tire in a 19 but its like a 305 so it wont fit the 19X9. it would be great to buy just 2 sets of the brembo wheels with some tires on them for the track. Does anyone know what the stickiest tire that would fit the brembo wheel?

If you're going to buy an extra set of wheels then you should really just buy some wheels that are made for drag racing like jegstars then buy some DR's or just slicks

I was just hoping that there where some sticky tires that I could put on the rear for the time being, i will get the drag wheels in the future.

You should replace all four. Are you concerned about wet traction? What kind of driving are you wanting to do? Straight line speed, autox, etc?

Mostly straight line driving, I was trying to find a cheaper alternative than having to buy all 4 wheels and tires.

Re: Stickiest Tire for Brembo Wheel

Im trying to figure out the same thing right now. I just dont have the funds, space or real need for a second set of wheels/tires. So i want to replace my rear 255/40r19 p zeros with something that will help my 60' times. I can let you know what my picks are so far...
nitto invo 275/35/19
nitto nt05 275/35/19
hankook ventus v12 285/35/19
bridgestone potenza re-11 285/35/19

There are a few more, im getting headaches from reading such contradicting reviews on each and every single tire. What it comes down to is a soft sticky rubber and soft sidewall. Most of the maximum performance tires have very soft sticky rubber but a stiff sidewall for road racing. Big power vettes and vipers seem to like the invo, but they also have a massively wide rear tire.

If going to buy an extra set of wheels just buy some 15x8 racestars and get a 275x60x15 Mickey Thompson to go on them. Also buy the direct drill racestars.

Don't forget that you'll need a sway-bar relocation kit for 15" wheels.

No you do not need it for the 15x8's. Only time need it is if you do the 15x10.

Check teambeefcakeracing.com and americanmuscle. Teambeefcake was cheapest when I bought mine for direct drills. Call him for best price. If you found cheaper tell him he should be able to beat. Also note the direct drill do cost a little more then regular racestars.

I speak from experience. I had 15x10 on the manual and now 15x8 on the auto.

And you still hook up fine with the 275 mickeys? Is that what you ran 10.6 on?

Yep..long as track is prepped. And if track.is prepped I know I can go faster. There is 8 sec cars running 275 MT DR.

Cheaper, and ran a 295 on the manual. With auto not as much drive train shock. Plus didn't feel like doing sway bar relocation mounts. I'm lazy...LOL..

This is next mod. Along with some shocks and thinking pulling lowering springs off and putting cobra jet springs on.

No the swaybar relocation is permanent. Just have change wheels. Less you just leave them on. With manual.car though I would go with a bias ply cheater slick.

How does the saybar relocator affect the normal driving of my car? i will be tracking it from time to time, but for the most part i will have the brembo wheels on the car for normal driving
