JLT Carbon Fiber Intake

I was told by a reputable shop that they gained an extra 10hp with the jlt cold air intake and custom tune over other cai, has anyone else experienced this?

CAI's all give the same gains + or - 1 or 2 HP/TQ... There may be a difference on a dyno, but that is with the hood open and lots of air available, i doubt anyone actually drives with their hood open.

I know a ****** with a 08 gt that drove with his hood off all summer don't know why leaves the engine open for flying rocks and debris. He later put on a hood with the scoop going towards the windshield and took up half his sight cause the way it's cowled. I myself think he killed it trying to make ot look like a dragster and prob has at most 400 hp

Re: JLT Carbon Fiber Intake

I experienced about the same gains as was to be expected with the JLT CF intake... very happy with it as well, no probs with fitment or installation.

Maybe they just wanted me to spend the extra money on the carbon fiber one, who knows.

The cf was my first choice only because it's carbon fiber and from what that shop told me, steeda was my second choice and airaid was my last, from the looks of it now I may be going with the airraid. The guys at AM.com told me they've got the most gains from the airraid, and the fitment is dead on.

Yea if you get it from american muscle they ship it to you very quick. It's not hard to install either.

Thanks for that, I've also been doing a little research on the tune. What do you think about the Steeda vs the Bama tune. At first I really wanted to get the steeda cai now im leaning towards the airraid. i need to make a decision before the end of the weekend because, im placing the order on Monday.
