Congratulations! Just out of curiosity, why not the 2011-2012 5.0? (I don't like the 13's)

---------- Post added at 01:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:26 AM ----------

With the rwhp u want which is an additional 70-120rwhp (I believe 2010 gt's are running 280ish rwhp) I'd just blow my engine and call it a day. No tune or intake will get u that much.

Congrats! 350 to 400 will require a supercharger but for your Stang they are around the 3k range

Some guys are hitting 320 with bolt ons though

You do not need a supercharger for 350. 400 more so, but not 350. Well, let me fix that, I do agree he may not see 350 either lol but he can get close. So i take it back, yes if you absolutely need to see 350 go S/c. Now, with heads and dyno tune he may see 350+ n/a. But if he can't afford the payments on a 5.0 he probably can't afford heads.

With cams, tune, intake, full exhaust he can get close to 340.

I meant at the wheels not the crank, 350 crank definitely doable with those mods but you might as well supercharge it unless if you know how to do all of that yourself

Sc all the way.

Doing cams/heads/exhaust/tune/cold air you will have more into it then a SC will.cost.

Re: Bought a 2010 gt!!!! Woo!!

You mentioned getting a SC for around $3k. Where? Also, whats the typical install (e.g, cost for labor, any additional parts required or is it a kit)? Ill get a trusty mechanic to do the hard work.

Congrats, i bought a 2010 loaded for $21. Couldnt pass a deal like that!!!! And, i love it. Have modding it ... I surf a day at work daydreaming of my next mod.

Not sure where getting SC for 3k less buying a tuner vortech kit. On a 4.6 I would go with a KB.

I DID mean wheel. I/Full Exhaust/Cam/Heads/tune WILL get you close to 340 WHP. You could check S197 forums on they dyno list where People are between 330whp and 360 WHP with the omission or addition of a mod or two.

With install prices, yes. The parts themselves would still be cheaper or at least equal to when you throw the heads in.

Congrats. I brought a 2010 GT about a month ago for a ridiculous price and love it. I haven't modded it yet and I don't race but I just want a little extra pull. I'm doing exhaust this month and then a CAI and tune and then I think I'll be satisfied until 2015 if those GTs aren't gawd awful ugly. Then there will alway be used 5.0s we'll both be able to afford by then the HP in the 2010 GT is sneaky. It's enough to make u forget it's really there until it scares the sh*t out of u with traction control off.

Lol, reminds me of my test drive of a '12. The salesman made the mistake of telling me how to totally turn of traction control. Power slid half way up an onramp and thought the guy was going to pi$$ himself. It was pretty funny. Love that power!
