I have a 2011 v6, but I can't help myself and I really miss the v8. Ive come across a 2011 GT 5.0 Auto , 20k, pretty base. For $ 23,900. Does this sound reasonable for price and do I sound reasonabled to do this???

That's a premium then lol. From the looks of your username looks like you're in Miami? For Miami sounds like a good price, even then in sure you could still work them down a little. I say go for it, just don't put yourself in a bad financial situation

Buy it and and don't look back, if you can afford it do it. You will LOVE that 5.0 vs the V6.

Re: 2011 Mustang GT Buy

You will enjoy that auto in traffic, my friend has a 5 speed GT he swears he will never buy a manual for a daily driver again. When I was looking I wanted a 6 speed but now I'm glad I got a auto.

Go for it bro. I couldn't find a 5.0 within 150 miles of where I live for close to that price. I ended up auto 2012 GT premium for 25k OTD and will use it as my project car until I'm tired of it and ready to buy a new 5.0.

if you want a manual, wait till one of them comes along. Your gonna do the same thing in a year and wish you bought a manual and look to trade the auto for a manual. also, be prepared to get killed on your trade in.

Just get it. I drove my buddies '12 auto GT. It's still a lot of fun to drive. Plus people on here are saying the auto is the more reliable of the two.

Re: 2011 Mustang GT Buy

Buy it. Auto is t he best to have. Specially with wanting to mod it. Get a circle d stall in it and it will drop .5 off the 1/4 and be a totallly different beast on the street. A tune alone wake the auto's up so much more then a manual

Stall converter. Circle d is only ones that make them right now for the 6R80.

Depending if going n/a build or fi would be what one you want. I run a 3600-3800 4c.

Look for a manual! WAY more fun then putting it in drive and doing nothing! I would never own any performance or sports car with a auto!

+1... Manuals are so much more fun. I even enjoyed driving my first mustang, a v6 because it was a manual.

I would have to agree as far as manuals go, you can't beat the driving experience and the fun factor, now on the other hand if your looking for all out performance I would say auto only because you can change all your shift points and other settings with your tune. I drive a 5 speed witch I wish where a six speed lol but that's ok I'm happy with what I have, as far as having a car set up for the 1320 I would go with an auto. It's been proven time and time again that autos are faster when you have it set up correctly.

Nobody cares about which is faster on the drag strip! Auto cars are boring and no fun plain and simple. Me and a ton of others would never own a auto performance/sports vehicle period.

And no fun, I beg to differ. My auto same power level would still **** on you on the street.

Also lol XD the new 6 speed u have 1 2 3 D then over drive and can't even use all 6 gears shifting through it. Also lol a auto will not down shift when geting to a turn so sorry. Ur just upset cuase u bought a auto

Actually the autos have posted the fastest times stock. And they do down shift. I own one sorry. Your auto isn't close to same class as these new ones. And the autos now only make 15-20whp less to the tires. Not a whole lot. And if shifting from 1-2-3-d it will go to 4th, then 5th, then 6th as you are wot.

And upset I bought an auto? I have yet to see a manual making same power as me run the same thing I do. At the track or on the street. Matter fact I haven't seen no other 5.0 post a 10 sec slip yet on here. Manual or auto. And show me one manual here that can out run my buddies bolt on auto. It ran 11.00@125.

---------- Post added at 12:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:22 PM ----------

Oh and I had a pos manual 5.0. Got rid of it for the auto.

Wnt2gofast is right theyre faster in all pages of a book but hes fighting a losing battle, manuals are more thrilling/fun and its not even an argument. He will defend it to the grave but few people will agree.

Completely wrong....in this era. Road course, drag strip, etc. auto is better. Driving experience is all manual can offer over auto...

It only takes a tuner to get the auto to out shift the manual, and he's not upset that he bought an auto after trading in his manual on it for that very reason lol

Granted I have a manual but I prefer them regardless

It comes down to preference but I you're making 600 wheel it becomes harmful to have a manual and be out of gear between shifts where the auto is still putting power to the wheels between it's insanely fast shifts.

The fact is the autos are faster from a dig but I still agree manuals are more fun to drive, but again, it's preference

auto for dd, or drag, and manual for weekend cruiser, is the manual more fun than an auto not nessesarily just depends on the car, I think an auto with steaper gears is more than fun enough on the street, i can do anything a manual can do
