What are your goals? What do you want to use the car for (street/strip/track)?

It will be used on the street. I will be driving back and forth to work ~70km a day for the summer.

For $1000 I would get axlebacks and a tune. FYI the tune will void your engine warranty. If you're worried about that, stick with axlebacks and try to find a good deal on tires. Do you have 18s or 19s?

Then personally I'd say looks first if it's ur DD for work, after all 422hp is enough to get to work?
New wheels and Tire.
And you already have scoops so half of the work is done!

I love the wheels that are on it, they're the same as mine. I'd say stripes first. I got some really nice vinyl strips for less that $200. Then a little chrome if you're into that.... maybe some tint.

+1 on tint. Stripes too, but what color? I think white on that color

Re: First up-grades

lower it first thing. I hate how they all look like 4x4's. Then some axle backs if worried about warranty and don't want to do a tune. If wantto take the chance skip the axle back and get the tune. Or get both and go with GT500 mufflers.

Definitely do the tint. It looks much better with some tint. I went 18 percent on the rear and 1/4 windows and 35 percent on the side windows. It looks pretty dark from the outside but doesn't darken it up too much for night time use when you are in it. Also helps keep the harmful rays down on the interior. For strips on my Kona blue metallic I have been entertaining a slate metallic, silver metallic or flat black. Haven't decided yet.

I'm a big fan of dark tint, I also have a black car so I want that black shine on my windows

I seen a kona blue gt500 with race red striped. I think those colors go well together, plus you dont see it everyday. Congrats on the new car.

I have them. They are the real SVT performance package wheels. Came off of one from my car club. Look at my pics above in the post and you will see them. They are off of a 2011 model. The base gt500 wheels look different.

Gonna be tough to do all that with $1000... Definitely a worthwhile upgrade though.

Buddy just traded his 04 cobra for a 5.0. His first mods are lowering spring and tune. He is getting my eibach sport lines as I am putting cobra jet springs on my car.

Exhaust! Borla or bassani sound the best. I like the catback systems best because you get rid of the resonators and get an x pipe. If you want your warranty stay away from a tune and stay away from off road x pipe.
