Cool 2012 GT Transmission

What does everybody think about the new 6 speed automatic transmission as opposed to the manual on the GT?

The 6r80 is by far a better transmission then the MT82. All the issues with the MT82 have shown that.

Auto's are the future in cars. Paddle shifters also. Look at all the high end sports cars. 99% are going to auto's with paddle shifters. That can be shifted manually with the paddles.

Also IRS is what's next also. It has its pro's and con's as well.

I have had the MT-82 for 12,000 miles with no problems. Solve the complaints with a MGW shifter with bracket. That will make your shifts less spongy with a shorter throw. Autos are for girls!....no offense Mady

Just hit 40,000 miles on mine, doesn't have an upgraded shift bracket and no issues at all.

And that's 40k worth of abuse lol
