2008 Gt500 supercharger on a 2010 4.6?

So a buddy has a gt500 supercharger that he said I can have for free and I was wondering if it would fit on my 4.6? Does anyone make an adapter for the intake or is it even possible?

Next question is why would you want to use a sub par blower with so many better options.

It's possible. Google departmentofboost. This guy has created an intake manifold to adapt the gt500 blower to the 4.6s. You should be able to find him on the mustang source forums.

LOL..I missed that..but I know some one did a way to do it. It was on s197forum. Guy that made it doable was charging like 2000 for the intake.

Free + custom intake manifold + serious dyno tuning. There aren't going to be any canned tunes for this setup since it's a one-off, plan on spending at least a grand for a good tuner to spend some time figuring this out, in addition to whatever the custom IM sets you back.

Also keep in mind that if you start to get close to 450 engine HP that you need to get built internals since the 4.6 is notorious for throwing rods around that power level.

So it seems to me that this is going to cost you a few thousand anyways, and there are mainstream kits that you could buy that are known to be safe for about the same price. Just be fully aware of what you're getting into is all I'm saying.
