Says who? People who have money to make from you buying their tunes instead?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Bama tunes are fine, and great for street cars. They may not be "race car" tunes like you'll get from Lund/evo, aed, bbr, and the like, but they are safe with plenty of gains and very streetable.

You heard wrong lol, very very wrong. Id like to see someone who has the same mods as me beat me with another tune, even dyno tune, I guarantee they won't put more than a car on me, not to mention bama is safe, not worth killing my engine for a car length. 430 rwhp 414 tq with intake, tune, off-road H and a bama race tune

Doubtful, the factory manifold runs out of *** about 6400RPM and the power curve drops like a lead ball. Can you elaborate on "no gains?" Did you go to a shop, do a set of before pulls, install the manifold and tune, then run an after set of pulls (same day/dyno/car), or are you not seeing gains at the track?

If your issues are on the track it's likely a few things:
  1. Launch RPM too low causing you to bog
  2. Shifting too soon
  3. Gears are anything other than 3.73 or 3.90 (assuming manual)
  4. Not having supporting mods (offroad midpipe, control arms, etc)
  5. Tires are too short causing you to run out of revs in 4th

Maybe post some time slips and/or dyno sheets (both before and after) to help us figure out? What has Lund said about it?

Do you have time slips from before and after? What are you launching at, shifting at, what other mods, gears, tires, etc?

Well the short track (1/8 mile) probably isn't enough to see the gains from the boss, and your tires are seriously holding you back. You probably have to launch around 2000-2500RPM to keep them from spinning and with the Boss intake that's got to be making it bog.

Other than that everything sounds good.

Nope ... there really aren't any that are suitable for dragstrip use.

So what wheels and tires would you recommend for the strip?
