Re: Rear seat delete?

I have heard that the rear seat delete that AM carries is very flimsy. This is the one that I plan to put in my 2011 GT- gotta believe the 2013 has the same rear seat setup:

These are both hilariously overpriced. I would have to imagine that you could make something yourself pretty cheap.

That's seriously all it is! They're charging $150-250 for this. I'd like to try to make one out of aluminum since it's so light, if I do I will be sure to post a write up on it.

I made 2 for a buddy and his friend. Made it out of aluminum. Since it was a drag car we jus stripped the back and i tig welded it straight to the floor.

The am one is just some cheap wood and fabric. I have it. Looks just like other one posted but is flat on the bottom. Rear seat delete really on saves about 25-30lbs so not a lot. I carry no one in the back either.

I no bro its unreal for some wood and fabric. Im telling you guys that wanna do this. Some beers a jig saw and some patience you can honestly do something nice... Even raised lettering in the backrest section... Aluminum actually sounds like a good idea to
