Swapping fender badges, need advise.

As you can see in my sig pic I have the 302 Chevrons on the fenders so my thought having the 5.0 badge on there also might be a bit over done ?
So I found a local dealer that has the 2010 GT badges for $18.00 each and I'll just swap them out, as some one said to me it will be like down grading to a 2010 Gt ?

Re: Swapping fender badges, need advise.

You know I just realized that the C/S does not have the 5.0 badge, never noticed it before so I guess some would never know if it was a 2010 or newer.

I would not be ashamed of putting GT badges on my 5.0 in plate of the 5.0 badges.

Re: Swapping fender badges, need advise.

Since its a GT and I have the 302 on the fender I just picked up a set of 2010 GT fender bades. I know some may bash me for that saying I just downgraded the car don't know and I guess the Camaro SS guys will sart F_cking with me now ? The 5.0 badge and the 302 chevron was just saying the same thing.

There was never a 2010 C/S. the first C/S for the 2010-2012 bodies was a 2011 which had the 5.0 motor. And no don't put a GT badge.

Fender emblems are not too bad, just use some floss to get under it and break the adhesive, keep in mind you won't be able to go all the way through because of the posts on these that fit into the holes. Then just get your finger under the edges and pull them off!!

Cool, thanks. Did you get yours from AM? What did you use to get any leftover adhesive off? Does the black emblems have alignment posts?

Got mine from LRS, $40 shipped. Used wd40 to get off the left over adhesive. Then used armor all cleaning wipes to get that off. Not too bad, took probably 30 mins to an hr. you can buy the ones with the posts but they are about $60 a piece from what I have seen

I used fishing line to pull off my badges, and goo gone for the adhesive residue. Worked great!

Hey thats really cool! I never thought about those powered by ford badges. I have the hurst shifter in mine so i decided to add the old school hurst equipped badges. Teenagers ask if its some special edition and old guys tell me stories about their mustangs back in the day
