Re: Window tinting.

If you really wanna go dark then go %20 all the way around. I find that to be way too dark at night so I went 35% on the driver and passenger window and 20% on the other 3.

What's legal in your state? Here in AR it's 25% on the fronts and 10% on anything behind the front two.. I have 15% all around.. Some areas are extremely strict.. Some couldnt care less.. I work at a tint shop and we had a run a couple years ago when all the cops got new tint meters and we had to redo prolly at least 20-30 vehicles.. I've had 15% all around on this car over a year and a half and my last car for at least 2 years and never had a issue..

Re: Window tinting.

In Alabama 32% is as dark as you can legally go, so that's what I did. All around. I love it.

I think here in Louisiana it 42% for the front driver and passenger windows. Dang drunk drivers kinda screwed us as far as tinting our windows. I had to peel mine off a week after I got the car or pay a $190 ticket.

LA is 35% front windows, back windows doesn't matter. Windshield strip can not be more than 7" wide.

It used to be 25% was legal but there were issues with cops approaching tinted vehicles and getting shot through the window.

By LA do u mean Los Angeles? Or Louisiana? Cuz front tint is completely illegal in Los Angeles. Rear is ok, but no percentage in the front is legal. I've gotten a few tickets and they aren't even that dark.

LA meaning Louisiana

The cops are pretty bad about every traffic/car issue there is down here..... But I still have 20% all around and a 5% visor in the front

Thanks for clearing that up wasnt to sure. I had 12% percent all around and the state trooper didn't like it. He pulled me over just for that.

I meant Louisiana. LA = Louisiana. L.A. = Los Angelos. >.> LA is solely a state abbreviation.

If you look at my pic I have 5% on the back 3 and 35% on the front sides. During the day you can see inside quite well but tell its tinted and at night you can see clearly when I light is flashing inwards but when someone is beside its pretty dark

I've got 5% all the way around and so far no problems here in oklahoma.. Personally I love it, gotta use my mirrors when backing up at night tho. Different states have different laws.

Re: Window tinting.

I did Llumar. Maximum legal on side windows, darkest legal on rear. In Arizona we can tint the front window too. It's called Llumar Air Blue 80 I think. If it isn't legal in your state to tint the front, I heard all you need is a note or prescription from your doctor saying you are a skin cancer risk. Then it's legal for you to tint the front.

You wot be disappointed as long as a reputable installer did them! That's the brand we use (mostly) at my work.. Definitely the best.. If you for the tint I'm thinking of on the windshield it's also ceramic.. Not dark at all considering it's 80% but holds out more heat! We use it on windshields an also we tint a lot of cab tractors w it..

If you Live in a sunny Place go with 20%. I regret going 35% cause in chicago now its super sunny and I get Sun burn Easily. That or you could do 35% all around including front which is legal here in Chicago.

Most states tinting the windshield is not legal.. I've got 15 all around minus the windshield.. Only problem is it gets hard to see at night.. Mainly just backing up..

In Illinois the front windshield is legal if you have 35% all around I think. The only thing I wish my state didn't have was the need for a front license plate

Neg on illinois same as mi can only tint your rear windows as dark as want no front sides or windshield. I had a caliber though w 35 in back and 50 on front ones...no problems. As long as your not being a schmuck driving and roll em down if get pulled over before gets yo car
If you are ticketed most likely to be a fix it..take it off show em

In Jersey we have to have a front license plate AND its illegal to have the front driver and passenger windows tinted. However, no one ever really bothers you about either. I have 20% all the way around, and I love them. The only time I got a ticket for tints is when I got pulled over for speeding, and the cop let me go on the speeding and gave me a ticket for the tints. A trade I will gladly take.

In Atlanta it's 25% all the way around and you cannot have a strip on your windshield. My uncle tints down in Panama City and is the best! I'm taking it back down there to get 15% done because I don't want it to be very transparent... I'll roll my windows down if I see cops.

When I had mine done a year ago it was absolutely none in the front and 25%. That's what I saw online before my uncle did it. My source might be wrong but I've never had a problem anyway.

I guess you could do 25% +/- 5% with the medical form.

You can have the strip to 6 inches from the top.

How'd you ever pull out of the shop? I was there last year, and I couldn't believe the traffic in that tourist triangle area.

Cool town though.

Ya pretty busy streets.. Not near as bad when I went down there on spring break a few years b4 that though.. That was pretty nuts.. Lol I just drove by the place and happened to notice they tint windows since I work at a tint/accessory shop.. And wondered if they had issues w getting a bunch of trash in the tint since they were just across the street from the beach and with the gulf winds and sand and what not..
