Heading to the Track.

I'm heading to the track again today. I couldn't get off the line last week. I bought some lower control arms and installed them yesterday. I also was considering lowering the tire pressure a little. (I have the brembo package). Any recommendations of what I should lower it to or anyother recommendations?

Only if they have a green valve stem cap.. Which I haven't seen one yet.. I would just lower it 5-10lbs.. Somewhere in there

Re: Heading to the Track.

The P Zeros hook best at really low pressure, 10-15 pounds...they'll still suck, even there.

Who cares if they're nitrogen filled? So is the air outside, a few % less nitrogen isn't going to do jack. Just pump 'em back up with good old-fashioned air, they'll be fine

As above heat them up good. And don't be scarred to lower tire pressure. Start with a easy launch around 1000rpms slipping the clutch. If hooks then you can get more aggressive with the launch.

Its in the inside of your driver door jamb.. Can't remember if it's 30 or 35lbs... I personally wouldn't go below 20lbs myself just bc the tires and wheels are not really meant for it..

Re: Heading to the Track.

I appreciate all of the suggestions. This is my mustang, and first rear wheel drive car, so I'm just trying to figure things out. My neighbor has an Evo x and I eat him up on the street everytime even giving him a head start, but t the track last week he got me, cuz i could t get off the line, so he's all talkin sh$t now. I told him anyone can drive an awd car.

He can launch a lot easier. Tires can fix that though for you.

Yep, after I install my steeda lowering springs and adj. panhard bar, the racestars and some slicks will be my next investment.
