Ford racing x-pipe

Been looking for a x pipe and not really sure where to go. I gotta have catys or ill fail inspection. I saw this ford racing xpipe which is cheap as heck and jus gets rid of ur h-pipe and keeps the stock cats. Did some research and apparently the aftermarket cats arent much better than the stock ones. Any input would be great!

Another choice is the kooks shorty catted since ill prob be putting on kooks LTs. But they say some have been prone to fail emissions without the proper o2 sensor settings.

Once you do lt's you will have to shut the rear O2 sensors off. I would just save the money and put towards your LT setup.

Jba sells one that's designed so you can swap your cats back in for inspection. I think they're about $300 on American muscle.

The BBK after-cat pipe is basically the same thing, but half the cost.
BBK Mustang After Cat X-Pipe (2011-2013 GT) 1460 - Free Shipping!

Or, if you spend a few more bucks than the FRPP you can get the JPA that will bolt onto your stock cats, but give you the option to take them off later by just bolting the offroad pipes on and getting an updated tune.
JBA After-Cat Mustang X-Pipe - 3in to 2.75in (11-13 GT) 1785SX - Free Shipping!

I have the borla catback system which comes with a x pipe. Would it be worth me to get an o/r x pipe? Would there be that much of a hp and sound difference

Yes to both! These catalytic converters have been proven to rob up to 20 hp and also make the exhaust mush quieter

Get a catted x pipe for the LT headers and then just gut them. Then looks like they are still there for inspection.

What's the proper way to gut them so the porcelain is rattling around?

Yea they hook ur car up theres no faking it. U fail inspection, they rip ur exhaust off then u pay for the repairs. Ill sacrifice the little bit of hp and noise, which is against the law in pa too lol.
