I'm definitely considering the Matt strips on black after those pics. Sexy stripes!

I would never in a million years think this would look good. But it really does. What made you want to try it?

When I bought my 5.0 there was a gt500 in the showroom black with a flat black stripe. I thought it looked good and then I saw Eli mannings MVP car. It was a vette with the same colors and it looked awesome

Just ordered automotive vinyl stripes from graphics express in red for my Kona blue metallic mustang. I got their bumper to tail kit. It comes in 22 sections to cover the whole thing. 229 I think is about what they cost. Gonna do them myself. It will take some time. Should be tackling it next weekend.

I was coming to attempt it myself until I heard that it is difficult unless you have a lot of exp. so be careful if you do it yourself and post the pics

Stripes just came in yesterday. I plan on doing install on Saturday. I painted my calipers red last Saturday. Turned out great. I will post pics once I am done.

Started this evening putting my stripes on. The hood is done. Gonna tackle the rest in the morning. This set is die cut in 22 pieces an very well laid out. Its automotive 3m vinyl too. I am liking the graphic express kit. I included a couple pics of the painted calipers I did last weekend. I will post completed pics once I get her done and cleaned back up.

The wheels came off a 2011 gt500 in my club. The owner didn't like them and bought polished Shelby wheels instead. I bought the wheels, tires and tpms sensors all together for 2000.

Got her done this morning. In total it was about 6.5 -7 hrs to do. The kit came from this website www.graphic-express.com. I am now just letting the sun bake it good to draw the moisture out more. Here are the pics of it just done and not rewashed as well as a pic of a documentation sheet that came with the kit. It shows a nice breakdown of how they do all the sections.

Thanks. I'm liking it too. It's not a combo you can get from the factory on the gt. I haven't seen another one yet. I have only seen one other Kona blue stang here where I live.

I seen a kona blue gt500 with race red stripes in my neighborhood. I fell in love with it the first time i saw it. Great color combo. Your car looks awesome, good job.

Thanks. I was nervous at first because I didn't want to mess up. Once the first stripe was down it got easier. I got a flow going. It's not as hard as what the graphics installer was saying. I was quoted 1100 dollars by this local custom graphics shop. He said it would take him 2 days and it was labor intensive. It cost me 229.00 for the kit plus tax and their wetting solution. Could have used dawn original dish soap and water mix but this professional solution was only 17 bucks more and supposed to be better. It worked for me. It helped that the kit was die cut to fit the car already. American muscle has stripe kits too but theirs weren't die cut into all the sections. You had to do cutting as you put them on. That's where the extra labor comes in too.

Re: Stripes!!

The red stripes actually look better than I originally thought they would. btw the matte black stripes on black looks really good, was thinking of doing the same to mine.

Pretty sweet. Impressive that you did it yourself. Is that Kona Blue? Can't tell on my phone.
