2010 gt against cobalt ss?

So my friend has a cobalt as and wants to see how our cars match up? Local test and tune is comin up so we are gonna run. He wants to run for $100 both cars bone stock and manual transmissions. Ate the odds in my favor or not lol I know those cars can be deadly from a roll but I think they lack torque from a dig

Stock for stock you should easily win from a dig as long as you don't blow the wheels off leaving to high

Is it a turbo or supercharged... My buddys cobalt is the turbo model with down pipe and tune and we were neck in neck with my stock 5.0.. Its not a slow car.

Cobalt ss with a turbo is insanely fast. It would be hard to keep up in a 2010.

No we seriously haven't raced yet lol and I think turbo. I'm a better driver so that should play a big factor.

What mods could I get to beat him? Cause if I lose I'll never hear the end of it lol

Well you said you would go stock vs stock correct? Slicks and short shifter. I would buy a short shifter personally.

Think a short shifter, 3.73s, CAI, and a tune would work pretty good against him? I wanna make sure I can win lol

Stock cobalt ss is gutless. How much of a head start does he want.

You will win easily if your both stock! Modded the turbo cobalts are pretty fast though. I raced a friends cobalt turbo and he is running 32 pounds of boost and it was door to door with my 11 gt from a 30kmroll. From a dig beat him by a few cars.

Stock cobalt ss runs high 13s at the track. So it will be a drivers race.

Lol. Yeah we should all have "mine vans" since we aren't morons that race on the street. You won't find many friends here with that kind of attitude. We generally despise those that give car enthusiasts a bad name.

Oh, and you should cream him. Stock 2010 is about 1 sec faster in the quarter mile from what I can find.
