next step, cams, e85 or lund tune

Hey guys,

I was looking into cams and saw they are pretty reasonable with their prices so i thought what the heck why not. Anyone have experience with stage 2 comp cams on the 5.0? Is it really worth it? I know the larger throttle bodies did next to nothing so i was wondering on this topic.

I was thinking of doing a lund tune/e85 tune, or should i do stage 2 cams. opinions?

I've done a lot of reading in the coyote 5.0, and I'm finding out the ford left room for improvement in the camshaft department. According to the few articles I've read, ford went with a mild cam for a NASCAR breathing cylinder head. But as with all camshafts, it all matters where you want the power in your rpm range. I'm thinking about changing my the cams as well. I'm just hung up on whether I'm gonna add boost or stay n/a.

For 1500 plus install cams are not worth it. Only see gains of 30whp. Better off doing e85 tune. Save the cam money and invest in a blower. What are your current mods?

Dude from everything I've heard, cams r not worth the headache , especially cause of the cost. Invest the $ in something else

Hmmm thanks for the input.

Current mods
Kn filter
Boss intake tube
Boss intake
Jlt oil seperator
93r bama tune
Bbk x pipe
Pypes super system cat back
285 tires

There isnt many e85 stations so I'm kind of shying away from that idea. No dyno shops around familiar with coyotes so I don't want to dyno tune.

I don't want to do LT because then I have to redo the exhaust setup and LT are hard to put on?

I guess save up for a blower?

Cams are really even more worthless with out all the bolt ons to help. Ie full exhaust. Save for the blower. If you do your research you can get one for around 4000.
