Need help with a strange problem...please read

So me and some buddies went out to town tonight to cruise around and I was coming home on a dark back road and noticed my brake lights come on when I pushed the clutch in. Anyone know what's causing this? Please give a detailed description of what to look for.

Take a look at the wiring under the dash by the pedals. There are switches attached to the brackets holding the pedals in place. See if the wiring from the switches is pinched or shorted together. Do the brake lights work with the brake pedal? Does the car start with having the brake pedal pressed rather then the clutch?

Yea the brake lights work with the pedal and no it doesn't start with June brake pushed in.

haha, I almost always have something to say... I think streugo is about right, sounds like an issue under the dash, check the brake light switch ( should be located just behind the brake pedal) to make sure it isn't connecting with the wiring for the clutch or somehow jumping circuit to the brake light switch.
