Beefier sound

Hey all, new here. I just got an 11 gt and the original owner put a weak sounding muffler on. Any suggestions on how to make this beast sound ferocious?

Remove 2 cats and install slp loud mouth 1.

Put the cats away in case you need to install again because it might sound to loud.

Re: Beefier sound

If you only care what it sounds like to you on the inside, remove one of the sound foam plugs in the sound tube. After watching the video below, don't bother removing the bolt, just wiggle out the tube going into the firewall and use a needle nose pliers to remove the foam plug. Take the car for a ride and see if you like what you hear. If you want it even louder, remove both as per the video.

If you want the car to sound great inside and out, go with Borla S-type exhaust and H-pipe. See my video at My 2012 Mustang GT - Borla S-Type Exhaust - YouTube or see the Borla video at BORLA Exhaust for 2011-2013 Mustang GT

There is no slp 1s for 11+.. Not the same car as your new edge.. I had slp IIs on my 04 GT.. Hated them.. The videos I listened I sounded good though lol

Get the Borla s-type. There is barely any difference between the s-type and the ATAK! Also if you really want it to be loud, you cant go wrong with kooks long tube headers and off road x-pipes. (also remove the cats) Thats what i did and it sounds like a monster is driving down the street.
