Upgrades--Exhaust, bolt ons, tune.

Hey guys! So I have a few questions. First of all I want to get my 13' 5.0 to 500 naturally asperated horsepower. I was thinking an Axle back, tune, and CAI would do the trick.

What type of tune would be best? I don't want to kill my mileage by putting on an overkill tune, but something decent.

What type of CAI is proven to be most powerful aand effective?

And what type of axle backs do you recommend? I want something that can be almost race-car loud if I want it to be, but quiet enough to have a conversation in the cab if I wish. No drone preferably.

Ford Mustang Forums FTW!

You want 500whp or 500 crank. Either way those mods not going to.do it.

Off road x
Boss intake
Lund race tune
Pypes muffler delete
Steeds cold air

Those should get you to about 420whp give or take depending on dyno.

Re: Upgrades--Exhaust, bolt ons, tune.

I have done a lot of research and dialogue with local tuners and I agree with all. I will even be more conservative and say 395-405 with ariad, jlt or steeda they are all about the same, people will differ, yet all close. You axle back, I like Borla-S No drone when you @ 70-80 If you what to sound like Jeff Gordon go with Borla Atack, you will be able to talk yet there will be DRONE speak to Borla they"ll tell you the truth. You do know there is NO HP in the exhaust unless you go Long Tube. Good Luck! your mods will make you happy and for most thats about all you need the coyote is special and will surprise you with these little twicks.

Thanks, I hope Ford has addressed earlier problems. What do you think of the MGW short throw, from the videos i have watched, it looks like a state of art piece.
