Hood recommendations needed

2012 GT 5.0 .... I live in Texas and a hail storm rolled through last week and I got caught. Looks like a ball peen hammer tapped danced on my roof and hood. Insurance has estimated and I have check in hand. (amica insurance rocks, check em out). So I'm going to do performance upgrades in the future(whipple or roush s/c).... I'm thinking now is the time to do the hood. I'm in Texas and it gets hot, so if its fiberglass it really needs to be a good product. I'm not opposed to aluminum, but I think carbon fiber is a little too far out of budget. They are pricing a stock GT aluminum hood at $1343.85. So who is a good vendor. I'm thinking a supersnake or ram air type hood. I've already checked out those at AM through Cervini. What else. Help me out there all you knowledgeable types!!!

Look at some the cowl hoods. Lots cheaper, lighter and better looking. I have a 3" cowl.and love it. I'm in TX also and mine is fiberglass.

I'm leaning towards the Cervini Type IV Ram Air. So sweet.... Close $700, but will see about discount and free shipping.

What's the website for the boss 302s hood and what's the lowest you've seen it? Will it fit on a 2010 GT?

Call Paul at Tiger racing 626 967-6796
I'm pretty sure they are the only ones making it right now. My CF was 1500 shipped to NY and weighs 12 lbs
The FG weighs in around 20 lbs and I believe is around $750. The FG will need very little prep work and a better show piece than the CF.
