Not a fan of the American thunders. Other than that, car looks great and mostly sounds good. I have just always felt that the American thunders have too much of a metallic "jingling" sound

The track apps are cool but a little over rated, imo. I love the styling changes on the '13, ecspecially the CS.

Sounds like crap to me. I hate the cheap tin metal sound that flow master has! Muscle cars sound way better with a deep tone.

The Shelby GT 500 mufflers on American Muscle are awesome! First mod I did. Give a nice low rumble at idle sounds good when you stomp it and is quiet as stock with no drone at hwy. speeds. Check vids on YouTube. SCT makes a tuner now that runs off Bluetooth to your IPhone or iPad. You drop in the tunes from your device wirelessly! The nice thing is it will do most all of the things "track apps" will do plus show your max HP and torque when you make a pass. It's around $450 with 3 Bama tunes included. I haven't personally used it, but check out vids on American Muscle.

Check out this video on YouTube:

Before and after (stock vs. Shelby).

No other mods.

Re: '13 GT/CS Flowmaster American Thunder

Not super loud. But definitely noticeable! Youtube definitely doesn't do it justice. I had the Borlas on my 06 with a Basanni X pipe and it was louder, but droned at hwy. speeds. the thing i like about the Shelby's is that they look stock (just bigger 4" outlet) and when cruising are relatively quiet.

Sounds good...I was wondering what mine would sound like without cats w/flowmasters. Will definitely have to get my offroad xpipe now!

Re: '13 GT/CS Flowmaster American Thunder

I'll try to put my negative opinion of the flowmaster exhaust politely. My friend has the same setup albeit with a lethal performance h pipe. The sound isn't tuned properly it sounds very metallic and jingley as someone else put it. It is also very loud. Personally I find it just obnoxious. I think that the old school 5.0 sounded great with flow masters that was THE exhaust for the car. However they were mounted closer to the headers. The new car has the muffler mounted in the back. I personally think that borla makes the best exhaust for this car. The only flowmaster I would consider for this vehicle would be the hush powers. Even those are a little bit muffled and burbly. I'm not trying to be a hater. I'm glad you really enjoy your exhaust. To each his own. The car any other hand it's beautiful.
