I was gonna paint them myself but took them to an auto body shop and had them do it. I love the results.

I got custom smoke tint from a vinyl shop, definitely gave contrast to the dull rear I used to have

Re: tail light tint feedback

I would like vinyl tint, but not too dark. I do not want my tailights to look black only have a slight smoke effect.

Re: tail light tint feedback

I am looking more and more at the dupli-color and rust-oleum combo. If its durable and holds up thru all the weather I think thats the way to go. Just concerned at how the clear will look in a couple years.

The clear should be fine. If it did happen to try to mess up all you'd have to do is wet sand it and re clear. I think the vinyl would be worse for fading and becoming brittle myself. I work for the transit authority in Memphis and some of the city buses have vinyl wraps and they have to be reapplied because of the fading and sun making them brittle.
