Hey guys. I just picked up a black 2012 gt premium auto.
Never really modded a car before, but reading here the last few weeks has given me the itch.
I am thinking Roush axel back and a Bama tune to start. Opinions?
I love the car, but the throttle could definitely respond better.
Any other ideas?

Welcome! Not a 5.0 guy but figured I'd chime in. Maybe an X-pipe? The tune should wake that auto up nicely. I'm sure some of the 5.0 guys will have more feedback. Good luck modding!

Welcome! Tuning these things makes a night and day difference. It really wakes the car up! Loads of fun driving afterwards. Make sure you're holding on if you get on it after the tune!!

Te172r,

Welcome to the forums & Congratulations on the car! The 12' GT's are amazing.

Seems like you already have a good mind set on where to start. Exhaust & Tune is a great way to start opening up some air/exhaust flow & get a tune on the car! I would also recommend a Cold Air Intake, on the 12s we were seeing gains around 20+RWHP, This is just a recommendation, but Check out the airaid!

Airaid CAI & SF3 3 Custom Tunes & Free Custom Tunes For Life - Free Shipping!

The throttle response is pretty weak on the new edge mustangs, we can definatly bump that up for you.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, in the mean time Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 10AM-3PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!
