Exhaust pricing

How much did it costs for you to get your exhaust done? I'm getting the borla s type cat back done and the dealer wants 240 for it in labour but I found a place Valle minute muffler that will do it for 125

Never done it before. Is there any welding required or is it all just clamps.

I don't have ramps or anything at all either to do it

If its just the catback you can do it... With a jack and some jack stands you can do it

It's not hard at all. I wouldn't pay anyone to install anything on my car. It's just a pride thing, I guess. Have you shopped around for the best price on the S Type? I found the catback on eBay new for $1,200 shipped but I'm a little weary about buying big ticket items from eBay. I'm afraid it might be some kind of knock off or a factory reject. How much are you paying for yours?

I was also looking at the steeds cai with sct tune. Does that tuner have the flash where it can go back to stock and I was wondering about the jon Lund cam tune. Can it be used on a stock exhaust? I thought I read that it only works without cats but I don't see it anymore

Re: Exhaust pricing

Anybody have the "S" type catback and put off road X on. I currently have the "S" type Borla catback with X and love it but Friday night I am putting on the UPR off-road X-pipe and little concerned on how loud it will be on cold starts,DD idles(stop lights & Etc.) and if I am gonna like it compared to how good the sound is now.
Sorry for thread jack but just seeing if anybody has the exact set-up and what to expect besides the HP gains

I actually go my S Type axle backs from eBay.... I was thinking the same as u as to if they would be knockoffs or something weird like so I was nervous but I got them brand new for $630 shipped and made sure I went to the borla website to check the part number and make sure they matched with the eBay listing and they came in an original sealed box from borla and the seller rating was at least 99% so I lucked out I guess cuz I never found a deal better than that

For the borla s type catback you don't need to do any welding? I have the instructions it all say clamps shows no welding at all. I bought you had to weld exhausts?
