So I ran into this!

So im on my way home and needed to stop and get gas. And im glad i did. While looking for a empty pump i see a spot. As i turn to pull in, i see the most beautiful thing (other than my own 5.0 lol) in front of me. 2013 GT500. I chated it up with the guy for a few minutes and snapped some pics. Enjoy!

The best part was after he left and i was pumping my gas, a guy walks up to me and asks "why ya taking pictures man, why ya taking pictures of that car"
I said, " you dont know what that is?"
He replied "no"
At this point i was the closest ive been in a long time to punching someone unprovoked in the face.
I followed up by giving a general explaination of car, gave up, and got in my car and left.

The nerve of some people, LOL!

Dude... You would be surprised how many people don't even know what the 5.0 is... People have straight up asked me if it's a 6 or an 8. When I tell them it has over 400 hp they always ask me "damn what mods you got to hit that number? When I explain that it's stock they are blown away lol. So yeah I'm sure no one fully grasps the 13 Shelby other than people on these forums.

I saw a blue one with white stripes at a show a month ago. I pretty much jus stood there and drooled while my gf tried pointing out other cars. I pretty much told her it goes 200 mph n she joined in on the drooling. Good woman right there!

I don't have the money to think about super charger, but I'd love for my car to just look like it! Wish I could get that front fascia with fog lights and front and front lower grille also the Hood too! I don't think i want scoops and louvers anymore XD

No doubt that the new GT500 is a beast!! And the pic from the op is pretty awesome! But I am with you on this one, I am a big fan of the RS3! Styling ques do it for me and the price is a few K cheaper then the new GT500. There is a review floating around stating bone stock vs bone stock the GT500 ran 11.4 in the 1/4 and RS3 11.6 either way sweet cars!

I agree that some people are oblivious to mustangs and cars in general. But the number of car enthusiasts that use forums is tiny! And there is tons of people out there that know all about mustangs and other vehicles to that don't use forums!

The video he is talking about isn't a 13 gt500 and other than your drag racing the roush dominates the 12 gt500 all over the twisty race track.

There is a rs3 at my local ford dealer and it is 82grand! Lol there is no way I would pay 82grand for a roush mustang! I would get the gt500 in a second instead.

Fail...the GT500 crushes the roush in aspects..

And stock 2012 GT500 don't run 11.4 or 11's at all.

IMO the roush looks ugly with all those stickers. Gt500 looks, mean and clean! Performance wise roush has better suspension and handling. Str8 line gt500 rapes it. No facts tho just my opinion!

It is a proven fact bud. Even the 427r roush dominates the 2010 gt500. The suspension on the roush stage 3 stangs are FAR superior to the gt500 and allows it to handle way better than the gt500. That's a fact. Don't know about the 13 gt500 cause I haven't seen any results around a twisty track. Again I'm NOT talking about a DRAG RACE

I think the 13 gt looks too much like the gt500. Aside from wheels most of the general public couldn't tell the difference as they drive past. Just my 2 cents.

Great pics! I was behind a grabber blue 5.0 for a few miles on the interstate today and thought it would be a cool pic if we weren't going 80mph. I had a 2000 V6 and I would often hear people call it a "5.0". Made me cringe. Ignorant people.

The gt500 is faster in a straight line but it doesn't do well on a track with turns. The 427r handles extremely well on a track.

If I would trade it would be a matter of shipping of parts before the GT500 made over 700whp also..lol
