Sct tuner problem.

Yay, just got the car back from
Ford. Super excited to install my new tunes that bama emailed to me. I was instructed to update the firmware before I loaded the new tunes onto the tuner. Got half way through the long update process, and the log file shows that the operation timed out. Really? Now I can't use the tuner at all! Any one still have the fw file saved, or know where I can download it? Seems like the act tuner is jammed up in its own programming. Every time I try to auto update the tuner, it gets the the same percent, and the sct updater program locks up. Need help!

I think you have to return your car to stock first. If that's not the case call SCT. They'll walk you through it. Also don't lad your stock to any device. The SCT program is intense. Your comp might be too slow. I use an I3 CPU and get bogged. I'm thinking of using my gamer to manipulate it (comp boost).

Struego,

I apologize for the inconvenience with your device, it sounds like something is defiantly going on with your firmware. I know how frustrating that can be when this type of thing happens, but hang in there you will be enjoying your tunes in no time!

Contact SCT directly & they will send you a new firmware update & walk you through the process! (you can also download all of SCTs most recent updates on they're website).

This shouldn't clear your tunes out but if for some odd reason it does, contact Our Bama Performance tuning specialists, they are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 10AM-3PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you a revised file sent out immediately!

Yes, I returned it to stock before I attempted the device update.
Thanks bama for sending me new tunes so quickly. However, they came in a zip format, and I tried unzipping them on several computers. The zip file is corrupt. Is it possible to get the tunes re sent? I had sct on the phone twice. They remotely connected to my pc yesterday, and this morning. They found an issue on their end with the tune revision. They were unable to update my device completely. They got the firmware updated, but they said to keep trying untill the auto update completes to finished the tune revision. Probably sometime next week they should have the auto updater fixed. They are saying I should be able to use custom tunes option only, but I can't unzip the tunes to load onto my tuner.

Sounds like you need a faster connection or try downloading on another computer. I've had similar downloading problems most of it was from my computer being bogged down from too many running applications.
