Re: 2 choices

They both look pretty good to me but I think I like the cervinis hood. Something about the heat extractors on the Trufiber don't sit right with me.

The "heat extractors" look like some cheap floor registers from a home improvement store riveted in IMO

The cervini looks like total ****, the trufiber looks like slightly less ****. I'd go with the trufiber

Well on Cervini's website the have the option a Type 4 Ram Air hood with NO heat extractors(deleted). Nice and smooth. And the spray nozzle kit included for $638. Check it

The raised portion if the cervini just doesn't look right to me. the rounded design on the other doesn't look as bad

If that were the only two custom hoods available I would choose stock. Now if I had the money i would get the saleen power flow and since I don't I'd choose the Mach 1. Good luck

I don't care for the Saleen or Mach 1. These 2 hoods are closely styled to the supersnake hood. I like that style. Curious about the quality of TruFiber and Cervini. Especially since they are vended through AM.

Cervini, without the heat extractors. I really don't like either but it's your ride and you wanna know what looks better between the two. So there you go. Lol. Here's a thought, I wounder what that Cervini hood would look like with the 2013 heat extractors? I'd have to see it before I pass judgement.

Thanks for the vote. That's the way I'm leaning as well. Just need a little more room under there for when I'm ready to add the whipple or roush sc.

I'll be purchasing ceramic coated headers to help keep some of the heat down too

Out of the two I'd go trufiber then. And paint the vents flat black. The cervini looked alittle too squared off. But it's yours and whatever you like is all that matters.

Jason,

It's a hard pick, but I think I would go with the Cervini's, maybe? I'm still not sure haha. I think you'll be happy either way, especially with a whipple hiding under there!

You should check out the Saleen power flow hood or the black mamba hood first. The black mamba is pretty costly as you need the gt500 bumper for conversion but the hood as some nice heat extractors

Yeah, the whole point of replacement is hail damage to the stock. But it's for sale, no extra charge for the enhancements!

I was close to going with the Cervini, but then I took a look at All the different shots of Both Hoods and now I have desided that I like Neither.

I just ordered a Powerflow hood and they are back ordered the black mamba with or without the front end conversion kit looks good. Definitely look into it. I chose not to go with the conversion because of price and I love my GT front end as is. If this Powerflow hood turns out to be a mess and take too long I'll probably go with the black mamba hood alone. But, if you are still in between those two, I would go with the cervini's because the fittest in them are usually really good and I have heard some not such good things about trufiber. But in the end, it's whatever looks best to you!
