I'm sure you could do that with the caliper covers for the rear. At the time I wasn't in the painting mode, so I just paid the extra to have them do it, and of course the logo and dots on the caliper covers they did as well.

My thought was if I could get the part prepainted that was less I had to deal with. It takes some time to paint your own stuff...
Did you have to buy 2 new rear brembos calipers, or are those just covers?. I really like the yellow look. But I think I might do mine orange!.
These aren't mustangs obviously, but they look badass!!

They are caliper covers from MGP in the rear. Go for it.

Oh ok. I've read up on the covers, and some people have said they're great and others said that the covers will begin to heat up and melt because they're glued on. They also said it looses performance because the caliper can't breath. But these are in the rear so I don't think I would have the same problem since I'm only using the front.

These aren't glued on go to MGP website watch the video. Other than appearance and keeping some of the brake dust off your wheels it does nothing. They are screwed onto the stock brake calipers.

You can always plasti dip the wheels, before going all the way with the powder coating. Just pick what color you think you like, and peel off when done. I like the Brembro stencil idea as well. I just painted around mine...

So I needa a answer on this, because I'm doing the powder coating for sure tomorrow!. I'm gunna have to rest on it, and really think about it. Let me know one more time what you guys think!. Matte black or Gloss. I really think Gloss because I saw a black Audi suv today with matte wheels and it looked unfinished almost military like. Gloss right now is what I'm going with!.

Then go with gloss. Sounds like you've already made up your mind.

I just did mine today. $6.88/can X2. Comes out like a satin finish. Did the spokes on my torque thrust 2 wheels on my S10 a couple months ago - very durable.

Not to confuse you any further, but most shops usually offer semi gloss black too. I worked at a powder coating shop for 6 years. Semi is a great choice, hides defects like matte would, but still has a shine. Good luck.

Hey thanks for commenting!. I forgot all about the semi-gloss. I'm going today to drop her off, and I'm gunna to tell them to set one of each up next to the wheel, so I can get an idea. They said it would be 120$ per wheel, 480$ total. Does that sound a little high, or is it a good deal, taking in to account that they have to take the wheels off and reinstall them.

You can get new wheels for a little more cost.

I think those wheels are at least $200 a piece? Maybe $180? That puts you at $720-$800.. More than a lil diff..

Thats pretty much a good price. Ecspecially if they are removing your tires and mounting and balancing them back on. Typically for a single coat on a wheel our going rate was $75 a wheel. But you gotta take a few things in account. 1. Whats currently on the wheels? 90% of the wheels that come on factory cars are powdercoated. And its not good to coat over the factory coatings. For reasons i care not to go into crazy detail right now. Good shops will remove the factory coating. And will charge accordingly. Good luck, look forward to seeing them finished.

Mine were a lot more than that and I got tires with mine and the sensors. But I bought my son 18x8 charcoal for a little over 500. I think total with the AM discount it was 533 for his wheels.

Sons:

Charcoal AMR Wheels (2010-2013) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

Mine:

Matte Black Forgestar F14 Wheels (2010-2013) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

I'm just saying for a few more bucks you could get new wheels. It's just something to look into.

Yeah mine were a little more than that. But if you are dropping that kind of money to get them powder coated or painted, why not save a little more and get new wheels. Just something to think about. Got to weigh all your options.

I think they were actually like $225 a piece.. Was just saying that for best case scenario.. But yes could buy new ones also and sell the factory wheels and prolly be in roughly the same amount.. But if your like me (I know YOU aren't bc you have a sc lol) $300 or more is more than just a lil bit lol.. I rarely have money to spare luckily I work where I do!

LOL...I hear yeah. I couldn't tell you if that was a good deal on getting the wheels powder coated or not. Just trying to show an option.

Re: Powder coated brembo wheels

Would anyone want to buy my brembo wheels if I just decided to purchase new 19in black wheels? They're basically brand new with minor scratches, and it would be just the wheels.

Why would you take the tires off the sell the brembo wheels?

Cheaper lol. I think I'm just gunna powder coat them. Because the lowest costing wheels that I could find were 700$. They were black 19in but they were only 19x8 and the brembos are 19x9.5. They aren't a bad looking wheel and I feel comfortable spending 480$ powder coating the brembos, than 700 for just the wheels.

Brembo is 19x9
