Torque Converter

Can anyone explain it and what exactly it does? Tried looking it up but it just doesn't make much sense. Maybe someone cat put it into simpler terms lol. Is it good on a mostly street driven car with an occasional autox? Any good places to get them? Also how do I know what rating is best for me? Thanks for any info ahead of time!

It transfers the rotational force of the engine to the transmission through a series of fluid and fins but it is relatively complicated to explain but simple in operation and the stall speed refers to the RPM at which the converter locks up

Circle D is only ones make them for the 5.0 right now. Give them a call and they can tell you what's best. But with autox you want to keep stock one. Plan on a bigger trans cooler also.
