X-PLAN success stories? 2013 GT

My company offers X-PLAN pricing participation with Ford. Anyone had good luck in using this program?

Appreciate any feedback.

Bought mine using x plan. Good savings. I topped x plan with 500 cash back plus 1k off that(negotiated).

Thanks for the reply - I am assuming I can use the pricing regardless of taking one off the lot, or ordering...

I also have X-plan with the company i work for, but the dealer was running an internet special on my car that was better than x-plan. The MSRP was around 38,000 so i came out better by negotiating the internet special price down with the 1k rebate got it for 32.5 but the x-plan can turn out to be very beneficial

Re: X-PLAN success stories? 2013 GT

^^ This. What I would do is try to negotiate the best price before letting the dealer know that you have an Xplan number, and then once you've hit rock bottom in the negotiation, ask to see the Xplan price.

The Xplan price is a set price and the dealer is bound to include all applicable incentives available at the time of purchase, so comparing the fully incented Xplan price to your best negotiated price is a smart way to go.

If the Xplan price is better, then it's "Oh by the way, I have an Xplan number and I'll buy it for that price."

I you are a hard-nosed negotiator like me you can always get a better deal than x-plan. I have the option to use it but I have always negotiated a better price on my own.

Yep! Use the Xplan pricing as a back-pocket fall back, in case you experience negotiation-fail! lol
