| LT's installed.. Questions
Had my JBA LT's and catted X-Pipe installed yesterday. Man it sounds Goooooood.. Couple things though,
1. It seems like the car has lost some low end torque, Is this normal with LT's and catted xpipe? or should i get with Bama and have my tune tweeked?
2. Car used to downshift and take off when giving it some gas, I didn't have to jump on it to get it to downshift. but now, if i am cruising and hit the gas, it just stays in the same gear unless i really jump on it. i also dont get the fast, stiff shifts like before.

Definitely get your tune adjusted by Bama! Long-tubes don't necessarily lose bottom end power, they just make harsh peak power. Your bottom end power should be at least equivalent to before once the tune is adjusted. Keep in mind you're moving a lot more air out of the exhaust, and your PCM has to compensate for the extra air with more fuel/timing/etc. If you don't get a tune, your computer will have to learn this by itself and it won't be nearly as accurate as the Bama custom tune.
Get an update from Bama and you'll definitely be satisfied with the results. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Hmm, you still shouldn't feel a "lose" in bottom end power. Is it possible it's a slight placebo effect feeling, since you've gained a harsh peak power? How did your call go with the Bama team? Did they double check your tune?
Shoot me an update when you get a chance!

I have the same problem with my offroad H and bama tune. I have to STOMP it to get it to downshift and go when I'm driving in any gear above first. Throttle response down low dropped a LOT. I've had 3 tunes (just email tunes I haven't called yet) and they all feel the same. I've been thinking about putting my stock exhaust back on but I love the sound.. I figured it was just a normal issue with the offroad exhaust

Sounds to me like you definitely need a tuning adjustment. Shoot me a PM with a previous order number and I'll get you setup with a Bama Specialists asap. No worries, I'm sure just a few tweaks will get your shifting dead on and increase your throttle sensitivity!
I'll be looking forward to your PM!

Everything is taken care of now! Check your regular email, Mike Wilson just sent you out 3 new custom tunes with adjustments! It seems there was a simple human error while writing the tunes on our part. I'm sorry for this, but all of our tunes are hand written and sometimes minor mistakes happen. No worries though, your Stang should be running perfectly now! I sent you a PM as well.
Get back to me if there's anything you need!

| Re: LT's installed.. Questions
2 weeks ago I had LT's and catted xpipe installed, before leaving the shop i loaded the new tune from Bama that was made for the headers and xpipe. At 1st, kinda felt like i lost some low end torque but that feeling went away.
Last week i tried changing from the 93R tune to the 93S to try something different. Tried a couple time aand it wouldnt work. would get a failed message.
I just now tried to return to stock, thinking once returned to stock, i ccould then put the 93S tune on. It went through the whole procedure returning to stock, then at the end the gauges and lights flipped out and message on SCT said failed,, code 1015 or 1016, something like that. Searched to se what i couuld find on the subject, but fund nothing.
Went bacck oout to try returning to stock again, but when i turned the key, not to start, but just turn the key on, all lights and gauges are flipping out. going crazy.
Now i am afraid to even try to start it up.
Has anyone had this happen? does anyone know what i need to do to fix this?

Update--- Just got off 1 hour phone call with SCT, they are going to call me back, they have to get their engineers involved. Seems with tuner plugged in, there is NO strategy code. Not sure what that means, but doesn't sound good..

OrganDonor,
I'm sorry about the problems that you're experiencing with your SCT. It sounds like a firmware issue that caused the glitch, and I'm sure that SCT will get you squared away.
The issues with SCT devices are pretty far and few. There's been a few more lately than normal, but we send out thousands of tunes each month and most of our customers load them up right away and are ready to go! I'm sorry that it happened to be you that fell in the small percentage of issues.
Occasionally there are errors, but SCT and the Bama team will work hard to get you back on the road and enjoying your custom tunes!

Shane | Got it fixed, thanks for the reply. Somehow the stock tune was corrupt, that caused the whole problem. 4-5 hours working with SCT tech, and everythhing is good now.
