Custom Dyno Tune and gears

Well since I wasn't having any luck with my Bama tuner...not that they didn't try and help cause they were extremely helpful, I am taking the Mustang in Next week to Wolfpack Speed for a custom Dyno Tune and some 4.10's installed in it. I may do a short throw shifter as well, I haven't decided on that yet.

2013GTStang,

Sorry you're not satisfied with your Bama tune. I know that's frustrating to deal with, but I want to help get everything straightened out if you don't mind giving us another chance to make things right! Just shoot me a PM with any previous order number and I'll get everything squared away ASAP. I'm going to have our lead tuner Mike Wilson take another look at your tune and give you a call to talk about any symptoms your experiencing with the tune!

Also, our tunes are going to be as safe/accurate as any dyno tune, especially since the 2011+ Mustangs have wideband sensors from the factory. We're able to get bolt-on Mustang tunes dialed in perfectly, there just may have been something left out by mistake.

Looking forward to your PM!

Shane

The check engine light kept flashing when I would wind out the gears and the car would begin to misfire, I worked with Mike Wilson at AM to try and resolve but no luck. The car just never felt smooth through the powerband while I used the Tune, just seemed like it was hesitating.

2013GTStang,

Send me a PM with your order number, and we'll keep working with you on this. I'm sure something weird is just going on that could have been over looked. We want to make sure you're satisfied with your tune!

4.10s are pretty insane on this car with the manual trans. Like having 4.30s in an 05-10...

4.10s would be nice if you could hook up/ shift fast enough. seems like you would probably be in 3rd b4 you hit 60 though.

Re: Custom Dyno Tune and gears

so I am curious as to what your hp and torque was? I have alot of the same?

---------- Post added at 02:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:06 PM ----------

when I get on it I dont usually have a problem hooking up because im more of a 2nd 3rd 4th gear kinda driver not much from going from a dead stop, but if i do im usually at 100 before I get out of 3rd easily...

Yes on a new 5.0 O.R. X pipes have shown gains as good as longtubes. So much that most guys go with a O.R. Mid pipe over LTs.

I've seen losses on new 5.0's 5-10 hp and 10-15lbft at the wheels by ditching the cats. That engine is not like the 4.6 and 5.4 because it has 11 to 1 compression

That is the first time I've ever heard that claim about a 5.0 on any forum. Any thread I've seen about adding a O.R. Mid pipe has been positive, with gains.

I have many friends with new 5.0's, and we are in constant contact with our tuner(pro-dyno). Seen it on the screen after the run. Proof is in those numbers.. All are custom tunes not pre loaded BS. Honestly ur not gonna feel 10 hp. Especially on a strong car like that.

I wasn't talking about your car.(I know you have a Shelby) If you say you have seen losses on these cars with a OR mid pipe I would like to see a thread or dyno sheet about it to back up your claim. Im sure others would like to know also and it would be some helpful info vs just posting about it without

all i can say is it was the best money spent to lose hp, i will say i dont like how it makes my exhaust blat more, but i love the power, im going to make my own pipes and get rid of the x pipe, just have plain duals all the way back
