Ipod dock not working

Anyone else have this problem?

It's a 2011 gt premium and the iPod connector charges the phone but it won't play music it just says "aux" and won't switch to the iPod dock. Nothing is plugged in the aux? Does ford have to reflash the electronics system or what? This happened after I tuned the car many months ago. I looked online and came up with nothing any ideas?

I don't want to bring my car to the dealership if it's something I can fix. I hate leaving my car at the dealership.

Thanks, Dennis

How old is your ipod? The reason I ask is because I have an older generation ipod and an i phone and my i phone works good but not my ipod.

My v6 11 premium does this. I disconnected the battery and it worked for me. Or reset your iPod. I have an iPhone, the nano with a camera(newish) and my gf has her touch sometimes. They all are tricky when plugged in but Bluetooth works great. I know...it sucks:/

It is a 3GS kind of old. I just got of the phone with a ford rep, they said it can happen and it's 99% chance that it's from the phone. Weird thing is it worked for a couple of days and then stopped.

I have a couple aftermarket chargers that will not work in my car don't know why. The iPhone cord does. I always use Bluetooth, but sometimes I have to yell at the car or repeat myself 3 times to get her to understand.

I have the sync system in mine and it sometimes doesn't play the music off my phone plugged in if it picked it up on Bluetooth. Usually I just unplug and plug it back in. You might want to go to any syncmyride.com. There you can chat with someone online and they told me the only way to solve my problem was an update by the dealer. Sync is now up to version 3.1. Let us know what you find out if you figure it out please!!!

Sync has nothing to do with the PCM and tune right?

I believe the only reason sync could be affected by a tune is if you use the system check feature where you can see things like oil percentage and so on. If you dont mind losing that somewhat accurate information there's no problem. As long as you get your oil changed every 5000 miles (ford motorcraft) you'll be fine.

Just like any woman. Mine won't do anything voice controlled while in Bluetooth. Like a certain track. I have to manually do it. So it is ironic of hands free
