Good find, $100 bucks is a little steep. Definetly worth 50.

Re: FOUND! Coil Cover Inserts!!!

Yah they are a little steep, but if someone really wants it done, and are beyond un artistic and a fail with paint, it may be worth it haha

Re: FOUND! Coil Cover Inserts!!!

So I decided to bite the bullet and buy em.

They look AWESOME!!

[IMG][/IMG]

So much better then when i painted em haha

The one is cut a little small on the strip but i have the background painted black so its hard to notice. The one on the engine cover sticks out along the boarder and the lettering sticks out quite a bit more.

Def suggest these if you suck at anything artistic like i do!!

Looks good, do they stick out more? As opposed to being flush? Kinda hard to see from the pic? How much were they?

The letters don't stick up bad at all, I have paint under them so there a little higher so no paint I think theyd be flush. The link for em is at the top of the thread

Seems frivolous. But to each their own. In that case, they should make some that glow in the dark or better yet, LED!

I painted my cam covers ford blueClick image for larger version

Name:	image-3749018612.jpg
Views:	366
Size:	519.0 KB
ID:	60593The first run through, I had a few issues with the paint not bonding and particles sticking to it. I rubbed some paint thinner on them and the blew the rest of the paint off with a power washer like at a car wash. Then cleaned them with alcohol and reprinted them. They came out great.

I'm pretty handy with a dremel. I think I'm gonna experiment with this lighting project. If anyone wants to donate me some cam covers? That would be sweet! PM me. Lol

Wouldn't the lights get too hot from the engine?

Easy install! I had to superglue a portion of the letter D it just wouldnt stay. You have to be extremely careful when pilling the backing off or you will pull of the 3M from the plastic lettering. I think it's worth it. Looks clean.
