Back Seats

Hey guys! I was just curious really how usable the back seats of Mustangs are? I mean for regular sized people. Is it like miserable or can it work. I need a car that will fit at least 4. And sometimes these people aren't always children. Let me know your experience. Share your stories.

I have had full grown adults in the back a few times, not Ideal but gets the job done, just don't recommend long trips at all

Re: Back Seats

2 people without legs can get back there no problem...as long as they aren't too tall in the torso.... Think you're better off getting a Challenger if you want this look without too much pain for the backseaters. Mustang and even Camaro, despite its hugeness suck for this.

Me and 3 friends rode in mine last night. We're all over 6' tall and they said it wasn't that bad. It's a lot better than my buddies new edge backseat! Lol it wasn't ideal, I was all choked up on the steering wheel and working the clutch was a bit difficult. Basically what I'm saying is, if your carryying 3-4 people on a daily basis, don't get one. But if you load it down every once in awhile, you should be fine.

Re: Back Seats

I made a 3 hour road trip with 4 people all 5 foot 6 or taller and it wasn't too bad. If your good driver you can move the seat up for your homie and not have clutch issues

Re: Back Seats

I try to keep it at only 2 people or less, but I've had backseat passengers on occasion. I'm 6'2 and no one will ever sit behind me. The wife is tiny, so someone can usually sit behind her pretty easily.

I've sat in worse back seats (specifically, the old GM F-bodies) and getting out of them was akin to a giraffe giving birth. It wasn't pretty. The mustang isn't that bad, but if you're planning on regularly transporting more than two, get something else.

I recommend one of the new Taurus SHOs, actually. I think they are sharp, for a sedan.

I normally dont have people in my back seats but when i do they say its not too bad, they are comfortable seats just not much leg room or if you anywhere close to 6 foot tall your head will touch the back glass lol

The back seat isn't ideal for adults. Especially if the people riding in the front are very tall. People in the back will get cramped over a long drive. Put it this way. My sons car seat is in the middle of the back seat and it wedges between both front seats. If your wanting a family sports/muscle car I'd look at the Challenger. The Camaro doesn't have much more room than the mustang in the back.

Yep, the Challenger is really the only one big enough. But i love my Mustang and very rarely have anyone back there anyways!

I can comment on this because I've been in the back of each one. I'm 6 foot and the challenger is by far the best, I would sit behind my mom who is 5'6" and my knees could touch each other and I would still have room in front of them. The mustang is next, well an '06, and I fit back there fine, wouldn't recommend a trip more than an hour back there though. The camaro was absolutely horrible my neck was sideways the entire time and I couldn't wait to get out. I have also been in the back of the late ninties f-bodies and would put those before the new camaro. I have been on many 1-3 hour trips in the family challenger and no complaints. It is like a small sedan with the room you have back there, it is incredible.

Here we go, I just sold my 2011 GS vert Vette, everytime I wanted to go anywhere, there was always this problem, 3 people, I don't like to leave anyone OUT! I'm getting a 2013 California Special vert race red loaded... 420 hp 87 octance, half the price in auto insurance, I'm digging it!!!

Re: Back Seats

I just had my '13 loaded up this weekend. No complaints on the short trips we took--and I would have heard it if the back-seat riders were uncomfortable.

Re: Back Seats

On short trips, I can fit four passengers, but on longer trips, I can fit two as long as the person in the back sits on the driver's side. I'm five feet and two inches tall, so I have to adjust my seat almost all the way forward; otherwise, I can't clutch in all the way, let alone reach the clutch. Gives the passenger in the back more leg room lol!

6' here, nobody will sit behind me, hell if I have to adjust my seat for there comfort, honest speaking not trying to be a ****** or anything but I say the ride is as comfortable as the driver is,, seated, feeling whatever driver comes first.
