Ambient lighting

For you guys with the premium models, how is the ambient lighting? Is it decently bright? Worth it or should I look at aftermarket stuff?

If it didn't come with it I wouldn't bother. With that said I like mine and it's a nice feature. I don't think it'd be worth the hassle installing it.

Its cool, but it didnt sell me on the car. Being able to change the colors is the best part. Experimenting with different colors of the gauges is good times. I like my purple/green combo, very incredible hulkish.

Re: Ambient lighting

I didn't even know the GT Premiums had ambient lighting until after I brought mine home My first night driving was a pleasant surprise. But honestly, I think my friends are more excited about the lighting than I am. It's pretty cool, but at the same time, I can live without it. I bought the car mainly for its performance, after all.

Oh, and as far as brightness is concerned, you can adjust it, and can even turn it off completely if you want to.

I have it, and like it. Sometimes I end up turning it off because of the glow at night. I do enjoy the door sills charging colors when the door is open. Kinda adds an 'ooh' factor. I didn't know mine had it until it got dark with the lights off.

I think your trying to replicate and not simulate, but if your trying to do the whole thing. I would talk to a dealer. If not (you just want your floor boards lit up) there are plenty of ways to do that cheap, but it won't be the same as ambient or my color.
