Better is relative. I have Roush with no cats and I've never had anyone other than my 75 year old grandma say its too loud. People constantly pull up next to me at red lights to tell me how good it sounds.

Re: Roush vs Gt500

Find a local Mustang meet & listen to what they have. It's very subjective, what one person thinks sounds great another will hate.

Me, I'm going Roush after finally being able to listen to one in person. Just the sound & volume I want. I also listened to the Borla S-Type the same meet; nice sound, but not quite what I was looking for--and I'm a Borla fan after having one on my last car.

I need to do what you did because I'm torn between the s type and roush. Where did you find one at?

The roush cat back is a little more expensive than the borla axle backs which would be worth it if later on you were putting in an x pipe or high flow cats. Do you have a roush cat or axle?

A long way from you--I'm in SoCal. Look in the regional forum here & throw some searches at Google.

U cant compare a price of an axleback n a catback. But i have the roush axlebacks and i love it way more than borla.

Re: Roush vs Gt500

Don't the new GT500's have dual tips now? ...Google search says yes.

I'm not convinced myself. It's almost too much on this car, but if you like it that's what matters.

I think dual tips might look good for a 13 bumper.... I've seen a few 13s with axlebacks and they look kinda funny... the opening for the exhaust is too big

It would be more circular, im cutting the second tip in half almost, at total of 5 1/2 in. across from one tip to the other, ill be posting drawings myself, its unique, 2013 gt500 axkebacks are dual but i dont drive a shelby, its a 5.0

That's about how my wife and I reacted. I've stolen a quote I picked up about the new Mustang: "laughing like a couple of 5-year-old who just set off a stick of dynamite" It seems appropriate.

The only drone I've noted is loading the engine up between 1000-1500 RPM. That's when lugging it in traffic. Drop a gear & it's gone.

Aha! Yep, that's the one I saw. The direct quote: "we were giggling like a couple kids that just blew up a stick of dynamite"

Re: Roush vs Gt500

Both are great, maybe you want to include the option of the Flowmaster Hushpower. But if I have to buy one, it will be the GT500 with the resonators removed, NO drone!
