no 5.0 will put down 400 bone stock. if it does ot is a happy dyno. call shaun from AED and he will tell you thats how much a offroad x coldair and tune will get you. same for john lund. they both told me if you actually see 420+ with those mods it isnt a true dyno.

I'm looking forward to having full exhaust again and the extra power but Im not sure I'm gonna keep the Roush. I might switch over to some GT500s or Magnaflows. I might bite the bullet and pick up a couple Lund tunes also.

gt500's would sound real good. I'm going with the magnaflow after cat competition exhaust personally. You cant go wrong with Lund's tunes they are good and quick. Shaun from Aed is real good also. He has a money back guarantee that if you cant feel a difference with his base tune, compared to the tune you are running b4 his he will refund you your money.

Re: what did your 5.0 dyno and what mods. happy dyno?

Most of you will probably not believe me, or even take my comments seriously. But for those that do, my good friend, and the only person who will ever touch my car. He runs a Ford performance shop here in delaware called Performance Evolution.
FORD Performance Specialists
Anyway, he has tuned and modded hundreds of 5.0's since 2011. Also he has been in business for over 12 years but has been doing this for over 20. Anyway again, he has a in house above ground Dynojet 224xLC Load bearing dyno. He dyno's all of the cars he has in the shop using SAE correction with the dyno fully loaded. That being said, most if not all of the 5.0's that come thru his shop have dyno'd in stock form, anywhere from 365whp-385whp. He has been around the block enough to admit and has seen with his own eyes a few "factory freaks". Someone referred to them as "wednesday cars'. He has had two so far since the 5.0 came back out in 2011 that have dyno'd at 400whp bone stock with 3.73's. I have seen one of these cars in person with his tune, a k&n drop in filter, and axle backs, with slicks and skinnies one wheel the hell out of the tree at the strip and running a 1.6 60ft consistently and running a best of 11.90 at 116mph.
Sorry i don't have pics or video to back it up so nay say all you like.
My car Dyno'd stock @ 387.02whp and 370.66ft-lbs tq. After my mods of JLT CAI, BOSS 302 IM, BBK cat Deletes, Flowmaster 3" catback, and a incomplete custom tune, only revving to 6800 rpms it made 441.00whp and 380.62ft-lbs tq. with the stock 3.55's. Run conditions were: 86.84*F, 29.52 in-Hg, Humidity: 30%, SAE: 1.01.
Since then i have had the 3.73s put in and we have yet to get her retuned or back on the dyno, she was still making power when we got out of her and we all know the BOSS IM can make great power between 6800-7500rpm's. So needless to say i'm looking forward to see where she goes from here. My mechanic knows from his experience that there is alot left in her, he's just really busy and does my work for free, so i don't pressure him or try to rush this in anyway.
So i know i rambled a lot, and i guarantee I will catch flak from some of you, especially the canadian (lol). But whatever, I wouldn't try to waste your time by reading this or lying to you, it benefits me none.
Let the hate commence!

Re: what did your 5.0 dyno and what mods. happy dyno?

Mine showed up @ 399 on one dyno - I went to a different shop 3 weeks later and it put down 381. Roush axle back is only mod. I could go to ANOTHER dyno I s'pose and average the three together...

The dyno it laid down 399 - there were 3 other '11 Mustangs there that dyno'd right before I did that day. One was a Boss. Boss was all stock and pulled 401. The other two guys - one was just CAI/tune and was just over 400, the other guy had the Boss intake, CAI, tune and full exhaust and put down 430.

The Mustang Shop here in Auburn, WA also told me the same thing. They said they typically see 365-380 stock like mine, and up to the point when I dyno'd that day they had seen two others come in and put down over 390.

So matt does your work for free???? would doubt that!!! Anyway depends on the dyno day or what not. it's hit or miss on that dyno! My car on his dyno day a couple months ago did 440-430 standard numbers.. after the dyno day we strapped it down again and it was 418-410 corrected 390-386 tq SAE..

I know natts work is top notch but if you are a customer chassing a dyno number any shop will do that to give the customer or let them see what they want.. A dyno can and most times are manipulated by the operator..

Definetly, he has been wanting to redo it for sometime. He just doesnt have the time and dont feel like putting money out to have it maintained.
I used to work for his brother years ago and have been a close friend of the family for years. So when i finally got my stang i made the proposition to him and he agreed.
I was at his open house dyno day he had before summer too. They were running all the cars on STD #s. He always uses STD for his customers while tuning unless the request something different.
Where are you from? Im up in new castle. What year is your stang and what do you have done to it?

Re: what did your 5.0 dyno and what mods. happy dyno?

I am fro wilmington and recently moved right around the corner from the new shop in Smyrna. I to have known Matt and his brother for years also from when Matt first started.. He has done a few cars of mine in the past and has done alot of guys I know cobras..

And when you correct the numbers you are around 405rwhp. The 430 is just how the dyno is set up to read.

When who Corrects the numbers? These are std numbers and they are what they are, sure SAE reads lower and is preferred by some, but that doesn't mean jack. These numbers are corrected, how are you correcting them? By using some inaccurate formula? Because I know you don't know the correct one. Why don't you go through every other post and correct theirs too? Instead of just hating on me? Or is your ignorance just telling you I'm the only person on this forum that uses STD numbers?
