2.1 isn't that great even on street tires... That's the best I do, and like I said I'm decent at best lol. 1.8-9 is excellent 60', even at that elevation you should be able to cut better than a 2.1 right? Or am I just completely dumb right now? That is possible lol

I think i could on a good wheather day. I mean the difference in times seen hete is ridiculous. The 1/4 mile track we have is in penwell tx. There was a 2013 shelby hitting 12.5s. My friends has the nitto 555 and still only cuts a 1.9 60 ft. Im know im the best driver but im pretty sure im at least average or better. Maybe it coild have something to do with the track prep?

Re: comp cams??

could be but even the 555's are still street tires, and that 1.9 is a really good street tire time, and the shelby could have a horrible driver. your 84 mph is really low too, I hit 90 on a hot humid day on my very first pass, but that pass was after driving over an hour to get there and hadn't even shut my car off yet, with less mods than you have now. like I said not being mean but I'm not gonna lie to you either lol.

with that intake what RPM are you shifting at?

At what elevation are you getting this and what is hot humid to you?. We normally have 100+ weather around this time

Re: comp cams??

good place for shifting, how wide are the tires you're running?

Just to give you an idea, at the time I was running a 93 octane tune, offroad xpipe, 275's on the rear with 3.73 gear and steeda CAI. I hit a 2.15 60' with an 8.45 time at 90 mph, it was about 95 degrees and 85% humidity. like I said, not a great driver, seen some guys get low 8's and high 7's bone stock. I understand that the altitude is high there but it shouldn't make that big of a difference.

I need to go again now that I have some suspension upgrades as well as Boss IM, and I ALSO need to work on my 60' times lol

---------- Post added at 06:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:54 PM ----------

my elevation is around 500', far less than your almost 3000 but again, shouldn't make that much of a difference

I have the manifold now but im honestly no faster and i run a 285 nitto invo now which is alo no better

---------- Post added at 05:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:57 PM ----------

Anf as for your times. They would be good here. There is auto with 3.73 boss manifold intake offroad x pipe and tune who hits 8.7. Idk what 60 ft though

Re: comp cams??

O, I thought we were talking about with the boss IM this whole time lol. that was throwing me off, 60' isn't horrible, but isn't great either. WE BOTH have work to do, if you're spinning to much or not launching hard enough then it will still cause low 60' times regardless of how wide the tire is

Ya but i haven't had a retune since the manifold cause lethal insists that jon lund does every tune with boss manifold in mind. Since the manifold though i have jot gotten any faster to be honest and i am very disappointed in the manifold.

Lund lol, AED is supposed to be top notch as is VMP. I think they both do cam tunes. Honestly, I heavily considered cams, decided against it and I'm just gonna go with a blower. But if cams are your thing go for it, just $1500 plus install is alot to drop

Bama apparently has a cam tune now, seems kinda hit an miss though
