Driveway too steep?

Basically we are house hunting and we found a house we love but the driveway is a little steep. I just ordered my 2013 Mustang GT and I was wondering if you guys think it will clear the base of the driveway with out bottoming out due to the angles.

Hard to tell, one suggestion is to try to always enter the driveway at a 45* angle if possible

Re: Driveway too steep?

its all about the angle of approach, and with the small area to turn into you will probably have issues if you lower it, it should be ok while stock though if you go in at a slight angle.

On factory height u should be fine... if u lower u just have to make sure the entrance of the driveway where it meets the street doesn't have a steep curb height. The driveway itself shouldn't be a problem

Exactly, ive learned the hard way, ( i have a roush bumper now instead of my old duraflex racer bumper) if you know what i mean! Haha! NEVER take a incline straight forward in your mustang! Lol! If you can take it at an angle do so!!!

Should be fine if you don't lower it.

You will be fine. Even if you lower it. I wouldnt go over a 1" drop. Just be careful and go slow and cut it at a angle. I have conquered steeper.

Re: Driveway too steep?

Yikes! I hope it doesn't get cold enough for snow/ice/frost wherever that house is! Personally, that would be a dealbreaker for me.

Re: Driveway too steep?

And if you find that even a 45-degree approach isn't working, there's always these (which I had to go to with my driveway.)

Bridjit Curb Ramps - The "No Jar To Your Car", Curb Ramp Solution!

They work!

You buy/build the house around the needs of the car...

At least I do.

Sad really. She gets more money and affection than anyone else. Ever.
