Mustangs have always had Fake Scoops.

With that said I would like a set of scoops pre painted for the rear side quarter panels and prefer OEM. Any aftermarket preprinted ones just as good as the OEM also some pics would be good to, thanks....

My experience from American muscle was top notch. Had all products on my car for a little over a year and no problems also paint color was perfect match first time

I bought my GT500 spoiler from AM and paint matches perfectly and the spoiler bolted right up, have had zero issues and it looks great

What about these, my only concern would be all the air they will grab.

Re: Mustangs have always had Fake Scoops.

Okay, I'm curious what is your source that the sides scoops on Mustangs have never been functional? I'm not asking to be an ***, I'm just curious because I was under the impression (and from what I can find it was optional functional or non-functional) that the older style Mustangs had functional scoops? Thanks.

I always thought the '68 GT/CS had functional side scoops but after Googling my little heart out, I could find no data to support my thought. :/

Wiki says in 69 they started offering functional and non-functional. All I could find was the Shelby had that option. Thinking that the basis for these scoops today I thought was based on the functional scoop and kept me from getting them but if they have always been for design only, I might change my outlook on them. But I still like the clean look without them.

Re: Mustangs have always had Fake Scoops.

The 79 and 83 and up hade fake hood scoops, some of the latter mustangs have had fake side scoops also, I think the majority of Mustangs always had fake stick on's ?
