To insulate or not...

How many have removed the stock insulation from under the hood? Benefits or drawbacks?

Why would you want to remove it, it is not heavy, and the heat from the motor will damage the paint.

Good point on heat and paint don't mix. How do the guys with the under hood paint jobs get away with it? Trailer queens???

It's like anything else, where you live, (north/ south), the color, silver used tobe a big problem.
